KCCBS Board Holds Open Forum Meeting
The KCCBS Board of Directors conducted an open forum meeting with constituents on September 14, 2009. Chairman Rod Davis called the meeting to order and expressed appreciation for the loyal supporters of KCCBS.
William Cook, Director of Operations, expressed appreciation for a dedicated faculty and staff. He said total enrollment in all departments is up slightly from last year to sixty-six. Contributions are also up.
Dwight Purtle outlined the process the board is following in its presidential search. Starting with about thirty potential candidates, the list has been narrowed to four. The Presidential Search Committee is conducting extensive interviews with these candidates.
The chairman talked about the mission of KCCBS and the board’s desire for openness and excellence. The accreditation process is a long one but progress is being made.
Several constituents asked questions and made comments regarding the presidential search. Various board members responded to questions and gave additional input. The chairman urged us to make prayer a priority in this search. The meeting seemed well received.
At the suggestion of a faculty member, the meeting closed with a special time of prayer for the KCCBS Board as the members deal with the important issues of our school.
